Swimming
At any one of the many nearby sandy beaches on the Murray River.


Fishing
There’s a boat ramp just a couple of hundred metres from the park, or drop a line in anywhere along the banks of the river. Murray crays and yabbies are also a speciality of the area.

Golf
Tocumwal Golf Club is a world-class 36-hole championship golf course. Grab a Courtesy bus and enjoy great dining or try your luck on the pokies.

Tocumwal Historic Aerodrome was home to B24 Liberator bombers during the second world war, and has a rich and enthralling history. Some wartime hangars still remain. The Tocumwal Visitor Information Centre houses the Tocumwal Historic Aerodrom Museum which displays a fascinating collection of memorabilia and information.

 Today, the Tocumwal Aerodrome is home to gliders and scenic flights, as well as the Australian Sport Aviation School, which offers Trial Instructional Flights www.australiansportaviation.com.au .

Wineries Tocumwal is surrounded by some of the best wineries in Australia.

It’s so hard to choose where to eat! Nearby there’s a Chinese restaurant, several hotels, two bakeries and several boutique cafes and tea rooms, roast chicken, fish and chips - and all within easy walking distance. There's fine dining at Rafters Restaurant at the Golf Club. How about an outstanding pizza delivered to the park? Or maybe a barbecue on the banks of the Murray? And you absolutely must try the delicious treats at the Big Strawberry, just 5 minutes drive away in Koonoomoo, where there are also strawberry farms to visit.

Walking or cycling
Soak up the tranquility of the river wetlands, enjoy the abundant bird and wild life, smell the river gums. The flat country makes walking and cycling a pleasure, no matter your fitness level.
